Formerly leader of the Band Mein Mio, Sebastian Block is an Indie Pop singer and songwriter from Berlin.

Together with his former band Mein Mio, Sebastian Block released a first album in 2009 „Irgendwo in dieser großen Stadt“ ("somewhere in this big city"), and played 120 concerts and multiple solo shows.[1] Still along with Mein Mio, Sebastian Block was listed in the Top 100 Airplay-Charts in 2009.[2]

In 2010, Sebastian took a new turn and started his own music label Januar.[3]

At the beginning of 2011, along with his new formation Sebastian Block & Band, he recorded the album "Bin ich Du" (produced by Sven van Thom, which was released later in June 2011. In the Album, the song „Johnny” and „Unsere Heimat ist die See” were written and recorded for the picture „Niemandsland“ (Regie: Toke C. Hebbeln/Darsteller: u.a. August Diehl, Alexander Fehling).[4]

On the 05/08/2011, Sebastian Block & Band won the zibb-Summersong 2011 Contest with their single "Ich hoffe ja".[5] On the 01/10/2011, they won the rbb Radio Eins Band Contest "Völkerball".[6]

After the album release, Sebastian Block & Band went on the "Bin ich Du Tour" around Germany, Austria and Switzerland.[7]
