Sebastian Piovesan (Treviso, 25 May 1984) is an Italian bassist and composer.
He plays the electric bass with particular attention to the fretless bass technique.
He has a melodic, contrapuntal and reflective approach to composing and a personal and decisive style of arrangement.[1][2]

Travelling Notes[edit]
Travelling Notes is the Sebastian Piovesan's project as a leader, also an author of the compositions and arrangements.
A quintet of great cohesion, equipped from the technical point of view and of remarkable synergy[3], which also includes the trumpeter Francesco Ivone, the saxophonist Giorgio Giacobbi, the pianist Francesco De Luisa and the drummer Camilla Collet. [4]
In 2018 there was the Travelling Notes album release, recorded at Artesuono Recording Studios by Stefano Amerio and published by the Dodicilune Label Records.[5]
In 2019 the project is among the two winners of the "Chicco Bettinardi" National Competition award for new Italian jazz talents, also receiving the audience award.[6]
