Security Compass is a Canada-based cybersecurity company and a known threat modeling provider.[1]
History
Security Compass was founded in 2004 by security professionals.[2] The company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada with offices in the US.[2]
In 2020, Security Compass had a private equity funding round which led to further expansion of its services.[3]
In 2021, Security Compass established a partnership with International Society of Automation to further the adoption of security standards for Industrial Automation and Control Systems.[4] In February 2024, Security Compass acquired Kontra, an application security training platform built for modern development teams.[5]
In March 2024, Security Compass established an integration partnership with Checkmarx, a cloud-native application security company with the view of enhancing service delivery.[6]
Business model
Security Compass provides cybersecurity solutions such as advisory services, training, and SD Elements to financial and technology organizations, government agencies, the U.S. Department of Defense and other global brands across multiple industries.[7][8]
