Idowu Oluwasegun Nabi was born August 05, 1974.. He is a versatile Nigerian Jùjú music and Gospel music singer, and songwriter. The Ogun State.[1] talented musician is the founder of Nabi Records and S-Nabi Zone, which has promoted and recorded many artistes home and abroad. E.g. Segun Nabi himself, Queen Ayo Balogun, Gbemi becks, segun taiwo, segun gbemiro mr favour, and more. He is based in Lagos, Nigeria. Segun Nabi started his music career at a tender age. He released his first debut album, Celestial Army Of Salvation in 1997. He studied Music technology at Ibadan Polytechnic. He has also recorded under different record labels. Z-plus music, jamasco Records, Ramsalam films and Records, Balm of Gillead music, Malio Entertainments.. And he released the top trending single, “Alayo ni mi,” in 2003. He became a Nigerian Jùjú music Ambassador in 2008.
Early life
Segun Nabi was born into a family of six. His birth name was Idowu Akanbi Oluwasegun. He was born in Mafolukun, Lagos State, Nigeria. The born talented Akanbi Segun Nabi was discovered at the age of three or four years. He started singing in the choir as a lead vocalist during juvenile harvest in Celestial Church of Christ CCC. He has five siblings. He has recorded up to thirty-six albums and many hit singles to his credit. He has established himself as one of the best leading Jùjú music artists in Nigeria.[2] [3]
Musical career
In 1989, he established a musical group called New Ages Band Int'l. (NABI) Amb. Segun Nabi is a vocalist and can play several musical instruments. He is also a composer, producer and leader of New Ages Band Intl (Nabi). His first debut album Celestial Army Of Salvation was released in 1997. It was a 4-track album and was distributed by Nabi Music. In 1999 he established a group of artistes from different genres. Juju, Gospel and Hip hop. The group’s name is called JuchrisPop. His second debut album Simile was released in 1999, the third debut album To The Root one was released in 2001, the fourth debut album To The Root two was released in 2001, the fifth debut album Treasure was released in 2003, the sixth debut album My Colour was released in 2006, the seventh debut album Appreciation one was released in 2007, the eighth debut album Ojasope was released in 2009, the ninth debut album Appreciation two was released in 2010, the tenth debut album Appreciation three was released in 2011, the eleventh debut album Signature was released in 2012, the twentieth debut album Appreciation Four was released in 2013, the twenty-first debut album Appreciation Five was released in 2016, the twenty-second debut album Amin was released in 2016, the twenty-third debut album Grip was released in 2016, the twenty-fourth debut album Who is Who one was released in 2018, the twenty-fifth debut album Who is Who two was released in 2018. Segun Nabi became the Governor of Association of Nigerian Jùjú music Ajumn in 2016.
