Listen to this concert Selling England by the Pound Tour or buy cd/DVDs of this concert on amazon The Selling England by the Pound Tour was a European (mainly United Kingdom) and North American concert tour by English rock band Genesis. The tour began in September 1973 and ended in May 1974 in New York City, United States. Every song on the setlist (except for "The Knife" and "The Musical Box") would not be played live again with Peter Gabriel as frontman (excluding the 1982 reunion).

Information[edit]

During the show, Peter Gabriel wore a "Britannia" costume (for "Dancing With the Moonlit Knight"), a bat-wing costume (for "Watcher of the Skies"), a lawnmower costume (for "I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)"), and (instead of the foxy lady) an old man costume (for "The Musical Box"). Footage of all of these costumes exist online, aswell as audio of Peter telling the stories of Dancing With The Moonlit Knight, I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe), TMB, and Supper's Ready.

This tour would mark the final official performances of "Twilight Alehouse", "More Fool Me", "Horizons", "Get 'Em Out By Friday", "The Battle of Epping Forest", "The Return of the Giant Hogweed", and "Can-Utility and the Coastliners".
