Semi-fascism

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Semi-fascism is an imprecise term, which is used to refer to politics movements that share some characteristics with traditional fascism.[1]

It was used by the President of the United States, Joe Biden, on August 25, 2022 to highlight extremist and ultraconservative positions and characteristics of the Republican Party.[2][3][4] It has also been used to describe dictatorial governments that do have some, but not all, of the characteristics of fascism, for example Francoist Spain,[5][6] and the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile.[7]

It has been used to describe Peronist orthodoxy in Argentina,[8] and the far-right government of Alexander Tsankov in Bulgaria.[9]
