Sephe also known as Bacleo is an American experimental hip-hop artist and Producer from California.[1]
Career[edit]
Sephe gained popularity with his mixture of Trap, EDM and R&B and bright blue imagery reminiscent of vaporwave and seapunk, drawing inspiration from artists/producers like Eco Virtual and Vaperror.[2]
Sephe was able to get his name out there with his first song being See U Again with Luci4/Axxturel and shortly dropped his EP Neo on March 18th,2021. It's distant vocals and etheric production was enough for Sephe to build a reputable fanbase. But Sephe's name wasnt truly engrained until his single Vengeance. It would quickly takeover with it's bouncy beat, melodically reminiscent of video game tracks from the late 90s.[1]
Shortly after, Sephe would reveal Azur Kry, his first full length album. A very eclectic album with Pop-like production and very drowned out reverb heavy vocals.[3] The following year, Sephe continued to take off with singles like Bluu and Glimmer off of his 2nd album Lorana.Mze. This album also features production from Luci4 on 2bad and Goodbye. But it wasn't over yet, in May of 2022, Sephe would drop Change. With its dark horror-core esque melody, it would quickly takeover on the TikTok.[4]
Having taken a break from music for the start of 2023, Sephe quickly popped back up in June of 2023 with Trust. A dark nu-metal song reminiscent of Korn's early days, but in September of 2023, Sephe would unveil his album Twist?d to the world and continue to showcase his artistic genius, capturing listeners with fusions of jazz and rock with tracks like problemz.n.issuez and commas featuring artist Kovou.[5]
With Sephe's fairly large discography, he has made to sure to expand his sound and break genre tropes.
