Sertap Yar (born 5 September 1969) is a Turkish novelist and poet. She writes in Turkish and is prominently known for her narrative nonfiction writing style. She is best known for her novels, which include Aşk Seni Affettim, Yarın Yeniden, Sevgisiz and İki Ayrı Tutku.[1]
Sertap Yar lives in San Francisco, California.
Early life and education[edit]
Sertap Yar was born in Istanbul. She studied literature in Beşiktaş Anatolian High School (formerly known as Beşiktaş Kız Lisesi). She earned her associate degree from Anadolu University. She is cousin of Mesut Yar, who is a journalist, author, and news anchor.
Career[edit]
Sertap has published four nonfiction books and one poem book. Along with 77 other authors Sertap Yar also contributed to a book called "Kırlangıç Ağıdı” which was dedicated to the children in need.[2]
