Oluseyi Olusore (born 15 August 1985), popularly known by his stage name Shedams ,[1] is a Nigerian fitness coach, Weight loss Expert, and Author. He is also the founder and owner of Shedams Fitness. He is best known for creating Nigeria's first weight-loss reality show The Fastest Shedder and is modeled after the 'Biggest Loser' in the United States. .[2]
Early life and education[edit]
Seyi was born and raised in Nigeria .[3] He is a Computer Engineering Graduate of Covenant University (B.Eng), Certified Health & Wellness Expert (Arizona State University, USA) and holds a Certificate in CPR/AED/First-Aid from the National CPR Foundation USA, and a Fellow, Institute of Registered Exercise Professionals
Career[edit]
Seyi started off while he was the captain of the volleyball team back in Covenant University. Some individuals (mostly females) who had weight issues would come to him to include them in pre-training workouts and to give them advice on their diet. he realized that they would always come back to him in 2-3 weeks, happy and with testimonies to tell.
What motivated and made him happy was the smile on their faces and that gave birth to Shedams Fitness which is aimed at helping obese individuals get acquainted with body exercises coupled with balanced nutrition and diets to attain and maintain a good body posture through careful and safe routines.
Being a Fitness Trainer that Champions and Pioneers awareness on Health & Wellness, he has been featured on CNN African Voices [4], BBC NewsPidgin [5], CCTV China, Fitness Segments of various TV Shows: Vox Africa Uk, 360 NigezieTV, Goodlife on STV, Ditch The Gym on Pulse TV, Health & Wellness Segment on RaveTV, Work It Out on SpiceTV, Frank Talk on AIT, and Wake Up Nigeria on TVC.He did play the role of the Fitness Trainer in Papa Ajasco Reloaded Comedy Series- Mr & Mrs Talented.
