Shahira Barry (born April 26, 1991) is an Irish model.[1][2]

Career[edit]

Barry is from Galway, and has partial Bangladeshi ancestry from her grandfather.[3] She started her modelling career in 2010.

Barry reached the Top 6 in a modelling competition in Germany which gained significant press attention.[4] After that she started to get a lot of modelling bookings and grew to the elite in the Irish modelling industry.

Barry was named as 'Someone you should know' by the Irish Independent and her career continued to climb further. In summer 2012 she was approached by US Playboy and by September 2012 she was invited to the Playboy Mansion as a guest of Hugh Hefner. She spent the following summer in Los Angeles with regular trips to the Playboy Mansion.[4][5][6][7][8]

Barry was crowned Miss "Zip Magazine" 2014[9] by the readers of the Magazine.

Barry has become a regular in the Irish media in both TV and print, and she has also gained a following internationally, appearing in press all over the world, including The UK,[10][11] USA,[12][13] Mexico, Philippines[14] and Bangladesh.

Barry is also tagged as Kim Kardashian of Ireland in a recent survey held by Daily Mirror along with other famous celebrities such as Angelababy from China, Lina Ayoubi from Australia, Kavita Radheshyam from India, Anastisiya Kvitko from Russia.[15]
