Shakeel Ahmed (scientist)
Shakeel Ahmed (also known as Shakeel Chaudhary) is an author, academician, researcher, and a teacher who is serving as an assistant professor of chemistry in the Department of Higher Education, Government of Jammu and Kashmir and a resident of village Dhangri of Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir. He is a well known researcher listed among top 2% scientists of the world by Stanford University.[1][2][3]. Beyond research, he is popular among the students in promoting science in remote areas near LoC[4][5].
Early life[edit]
Shakeel Ahmed was born and raised in a small village Dhangri (Doba) of District Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. He has obtained his bachelor’s degree from Government Post Graduate College Rajouri. He obtained a master’s and Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi[6][7].

His area of interest includes green materials and bionanocomposites. He has published several research articles and books in the area of polymer nanocomposites and green nanomaterials.[8]
