Shameem Ahsan is a Bangladeshi Business leader & ICT entrepreneur. He is the Chairman of eGeneration Limited and the past President of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS). He is the former Director of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) and state owned Agrani Bank Limited. [1][2]

Shameem Ahsan is an ICT entrepreneur, venture capital investor & policy maker widely recognized for his work to improve the reputation of the Bangladeshi ICT industry in the global space. He has played a pivotal role in the implementation of all the major policy changes related to the ICT sector in last one decade. He has been awarded with the CIP (Commercially Important Person) status for his contribution to the country's ICT sector by the Ministry of Commerce for last two terms.
A graduate from University of Central Oklahoma, USA, he is a General Partner of Pegasus Tech Ventures (former Fenox Venture Capital), head quartered in Silicon Valley that manages a US$ 1.6 billion fund and The Chairman of Venture Capital and Private Equity Association of Bangladesh (VCPEAB).[3][4].His company eGeneration is among the market leaders for disruptive technologies like IoT, Data Analytics and blockchain. He is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of BAGDOOM.com, the largest lifestyle eCommerce venture in the country. He is also the Chairman of Gemsclip.com, one of the fastest growing B2B ecommerce in Bangladesh. [5] Ahsan is a member of the Prime Minister's Digital Bangladesh Task Force, Government of Bangladesh, which is the highest policy-making body to monitor and implement the vision of building Digital Bangladesh.
