"The Sensational Jimi Shandrix Experience" are a Scottish ceilidh band who have toured in Bangkok, Bogotá, Melbourne and Moscow.
Notable Locations[edit]
The band are frequent guests of St. Andrews Societies and Caledonian Societies globally and are regular guests at Edinburgh's Hogmanay, the largest street party in the world,[citation needed] as well as the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The band played at folk singers John McCusker and Kate Rusby's wedding in Huddersfield.[citation needed]
The Band[edit]
Shandrix is usually a five piece group consisting of box, fiddle, drums, bass and guitar. Sometimes they can include three more players, as was the case at their 2005 Edinburgh Festival show in the Acoustic Music Centre.
Their debut album, Electric Landlady was released in early 2007 on the Brechin All Records label.
