Shane Mac

Shane Mac (born May 31, 1986) is an American tech entrepreneur, businessman, investor, author, and podcaster. [1][2] He is the co-founder of XMTP, a communication protocol for crypto and Squared Away, employing military spouses as executive assistants. He is the founder and general partner of the venture fund and startup lab, Logos Labs.[1][3][4]

Early life and education[edit]

Mac was born in Illinois, the US. He completed his education at Western Illinois University.[1][3]

Career[edit]

He is the co-founder of XMTP, a communication protocol for crypto. He was the CEO and co-founded the AI company Assist with the founder of GeekSquad, Robert Stephens, which was acquired in 2019. He is a co-founder of Squared Away, which employs military spouses as executive assistants. His first startup Gist.com was acquired by BlackBerry in 2010. [5][1][3]

He is now the founder and general partner of the venture fund and startup lab, Logos Labs. [5][1][3]He’s also the chairman of New Degree Press; a publishing company started inside of Georgetown University. This program at Georgetown University was awarded the Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education in 2018 by Usasbe.[6][3][7]

He is the host of the podcast ask, and wrote the best-selling business book Stop with the BS. [5][1][3]
