Shankar Dayal is an Indian film director and screenwriter. He made his feature film debut with the commercial film Saguni (2012), which released on 23 June 2012.[1][2][3]

Career[edit]

Shankar Dayal initially launched his first film in October 2008 titled Anandam Arambam and the film would mark the debut of actor Adharvaa Murali, but the film was called off months later after Pyramid Saimira ran into financial trouble.[4]

In 2011, he began filming for Saguni, a political satire film featuring Karthi in the lead role. Production went on for a year and the film released to mixed reviews in June 2012.[5]

In 2015, he began work on Veera Dheera Sooran starring Vishnu and Catherine Tresa. The film was initially launched in October 2011 by director Suseenthiran but was later postponed.[6] Suseenthiran then agreed to solely write the script of the film and let Shankar Dayal direct the film.[7] The film began shoot from May 2015 under the title of Veera Dheera Sooran, but was shelved later.[8]
