Shape Power

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Shape Power is a western term for an area of alternative science concerned with the study and application of how shapes can allegedly manipulate 'natural forces' in order to bring about specific results.[1]

Etymology[edit]

The term Shape Power was first popularised in print through the metaphysical writings of George King (1919–1997), the late founder/president of the Aetherius Society since the 1960s. King used the term Shape Power in reference to the purported ability of certain shapes to manipulate 'subtle energies', which he also called the 'Universal Life Force', 'Prana' or 'Spiritual Energy'.[2][3][4]

The term 'subtle energy' may be defined as all those energies beyond those presently acknowledged in physics.[5]

Dan Davidson uses the term Shape Power in the same context as George King to denote the study and application of specific shapes to allegedly convert 'Universal Aether' into other forms of energy on the microcosmic and macrocosmic levels of organisation (from subatomic particles to galaxies and beyond).[6][7]

History of the 'Shape Power Concept'[edit]

Prehistory[edit]

There's growing speculation that the builders of the ancient stone megaliths may have utilsed the 'subtle energies' of their environment (sometimes dubbed 'Earth Energies') in their construction, alignment and shape configuration.[8]

Many dowsers claim to have felt the presence of 'energies' at specific prehistoric sites around the world contributing to the idea that our ancient ancestors once understood, and used, the natural 'energies' of their environment in their religious practices. One of the major problems of using techniques like dowsing in this field is that they are appear subjective and open to misinterpretation.

The late Neolithic period provides many examples of chambered cairns, standing stones, stone circles, henges and mounds with similar construction principles, art, design and orientation of passages, leading one to look at the development of these structures in the context of an already establish and structured society where the cycles of nature were important. The observation and associated importance of the equinoxes in these structures may have provided Neolithic man and even earlier cultures with a cosmological conception of nature and the universe as a basis for religious or spiritual living. Such ideas have a close relation to the Chinese concept of sacred geometry and orientation, better known as Feng Shui where the changing nature of Chi is demonstrated in the dualistic principle of Yin and Yang. In many Neolithic structures we see this careful alignment with the phases of the Sun and Moon which led some to speculate [9][10][11][12] that these sites incorporated the idea of a dualistic universal energy expressing itself in one of two main forms which might be termed as;

1) Yin (negative, feminine, preservative type of energy), or

2) Yang (positive, masculine, creative type of energy).

Ancient Egypt[edit]

A controversial subject since the 1960s is the claim that the ancient Egyptians used the geometrical shape of the pyramid as possessing some supernatural power. This resulted in the pseudoscientific subject known as Pyramidology which seeks to find some esoteric or therapeutic utility for the pyramid.[13] According to the founder of BioGeometry, Dr Abraham Karim:

The impact of geometrical shapes on human energy systems has always been universally recognized. This awareness gradually disappeared, and our "modern" approach is to consider these ancient forms either as symbolic art without function, or attribute them to magical practices. Although the modern development and practices are not directly derived from Ancient Egypt, a very advanced know-how in this field is evident when we analyze and use the shapes that they have developed thousands of years ago. They must have been able to interact with nature in a more advanced way than we do today, based on the study of the vibrational properties of the geometrical shapes they used in their monuments, art, statues, amulets, and many other aspects of life. The effects of energy went beyond the Pyramid shape; the Ancient Egyptians used it in a very practical way in all aspects of their life. Unlike our modern energy forms that are highly amplified states of energies occurring in nature, this science dealt with forces on a natural level as they occur in nature. That means that this Ancient Egyptian science was more like a language that they used to establish two-way communication with nature. This two-way information flow process was used to establish total harmony in all actions between man and nature, to acquire a deeper knowledge about anything by accessing information about it’s working principles on the energy level, and most important of all to influence any action in nature by manipulating its energy patterns to achieve the intended results.[14]

China[edit]

The earliest references to the 'Shape Power concept' in China are to be found in the philosophical writings of the Taoists where it was became known as KanYu (literally: 'Tao of heaven and earth') the forerunner of Feng Shui which literally translates as 'Wind-Water' (Feng representing the 'Wind element' and Shui representing the 'Water element').[15][16]

Deeply rooted in Chinese culture, and Taoist philosophy, Feng Shui (Pronounced 'fung-shway') has been described as the Chinese energy practice of shapes and their placement to harmonise, or even enhance, the life of people and objects with their environment.[17][18] Taking account of the Wu Xing ('Five Phases'), the (Yin and Yang) principle and the Eight Trigram Concept (Ba gua), Feng-shui is concerned with the placement of objects (i.e. buildings, graves, temples, steps, courtyards, altars etc.) in relation to the flow of 'natural energy' [19][20] and by geophysical analysis.

The Feng Shi philosophy, influenced heavily by Chinese works like the Tao Te Ching, states that the entire universe is filled with a metaphysical form of 'energy' or 'life force' called Qi (氣) (sometimes written as Chi or Ch'i'). According to the ancient sages of China this 'energy' flowed through the human body through Meridians or subtle energy channels, as well as through one's environment.

Over the years, feng shui studies have developed into two schools: one, the form school, is based on the land forms and the chi (Qi), the energy flow related to these forms. The other, the compass school, is based on orientations, astronomical changes, and calculations that are made with a feng shui compass. Most feng shui experts blend both methods in practice, although in general, the form school relates to landscape design and the compass school relates to architecture and urban planning. There are two fields of feng shui: yang house feng shui, which is for buildings, towns, and cities, and yin house feng shui, which applies to tombs.

Proponents of Shape Power[edit]

George King[edit]

In 1955 George King founded the Aetherius Society (A New Age spiritual and metaphysical organisation) following his alleged contact with a 'Cosmic Master' from the planet Venus, referred to as the 'Master Aetherius'.[21] Shortly thereafter he was allegedly directed to perform several 'Cosmic Missions' for the benefit of mankind and the planet, as a whole.[22] In order to perform these 'Cosmic Missions' successfully George King is purported to have designed and invented 'radionic equipment' capable of receiving, storing and transmitting 'spiritual energy'.[23][24][25] According to the Aetherius Society this equipment allows mankind to collect 'spiritual energy' invoked through Prayer and Mantra for subsequent discharge to specific areas around the world. This 'energy' could be released, according to King, at a predetermined time and sequence as a karmic manipulation to help solve the 'spiritual energy crisis' that he says confronts mankind today.[26] According to King, Shape Power was, out of necessity, incorporated into the design specifications of his 'radionic apparatus' so that these 'spiritual energies' could be manipulated and controlled in the right manner. While the components, materials and design of this equipment was allegedly chosen very carefully for their properties, the working models according to the Aetherius Society, wouldn't have been as effective had they not taken into consideration the unique abilities and characteristics of certain Shapes...something George King often referred to in his lectures and publications as - Shape Power.

In reference to the unique abilitie of certain Shapes to 'channel subtle energies' George King and the Aetherius Society made several references to Stonehenge and the Great Pyramids as having unique Shape Power characteristics, the implications of which the world is yet to fully understand.[37][38][39][40][41] According to George King's 'metaphysical' publications the knowledge of Shape Power was used in ages past during the height of Atlantis to collect, store and use the Sun's energy with specially ground quartz crystals as their prime motive power until they discovered atomic energy and destroyed themselves through misuse.[42]

According to George King the rediscovery of 'Shape Power', along with the 'science of radionics', allowed him to formulate several 'Cosmic Missions' which anyone can take an active part in order to dispense 'spiritual energies' out into a world that desperately needs it. Operation Prayer Power [43][44] and Operation Sunbeam [45] are two such 'Missions' that allegedly relied upon George king's knowledge of 'subtle energy' and a means by which physical equipment could be used to store and release this energy in a far more potent way than would have been possible before.[46]

Dr. Ibrahim Karim[edit]

Egyptian Architect and Scientist, Dr. Ibrahim Karim, coined the term, Biogeometry as an elaboration on the 'Shape Power' concept, often referring to it as the Design language of Shape.[47]

Ibrahim describes Biogeometry as;

A synthesis of the energy qualities of a space, it encompasses what we can and cannot perceive; it is a holistic view that does not differentiate between what is visible and what is not. This outlook is based primarily on practical measurements of the energy quality of interactions according to an abstract Physics of Quality, and applied according to a sophisticated system of BioGeometry Harmonics, which integrates the metaphysical with the physical, the material with the spiritual, and the sensory with the extra-sensory, in a harmonious unity. BioGeometry is a science of quality. When we speak about a science of quality, we are referring to a science which studies how different things affect each other on an unperceivable, subtle energy level. Qualities have traditionally been seen as subjective as in the fields of Humanities and Arts. In the science of BioGeometry, we show an inner level to qualities that can be used in an objective, scientific manner. (Ibrahim, The BioGeometry Worldview, 1997)[48]

BioGeometry (or Shape Power) is the result of a growing body of scientific research seeking to solve the worlds energy-balancing demands in numerous fields including 'architecture, telecom networks, industrial design, boats and airplanes to transmute the effects of environmental energy disturbances from sources such as electro-magnetic radiation, structural design, and cosmic and earth-energy radiation. It's also being applied to agriculture, poultry, fish, and livestock farming to increase productivity and quality leading to the reduction of controversial chemicals and artificial treatments'.[49]

Dan Davidson[edit]

A strong proponent of the Shape Power hypothesis, Dan Davidson, states that 'If you build the right kind of shapes you can tap into universal energies.' Dan spent over three decades researching anti-gravity, over-unity systems and Shape Power as a means to advancing science towards a new paradigm of Aether-based applications and believes that certain shapes can modify the universal Aether into electromagnetic and Gravitational forces.[50][51] Dan cites the Trouton–Noble experiment, Georges Sagnac's work, Michelson–Gale–Pearson experiment, the Thirring-Lenze experiment and the Fizeau experiment as evidence that the Aether is a real substance.[52]
