Shaun Logan is an American Artist, Illustrator, and Graphic Designer within the reggae, surf rock, and punk rock culture. His work comprises of digital and graphic designs which have been featured on albums ranging from Slightly Stoopid[1] to The Expendables. Shaun's designs can been seen throughout music festivals including California Roots,[2] and numerous murals throughout his local community.
Early Years[edit]
Art was introduced to Shaun by his grandfather, William Logan who worked in Manhattan as an Art Director for advertisement agencies. Shaun moved from Santa Clara to Santa Cruz in 1990 and soon afterward formed a punk band amongst his peers who now are a part of the band The Expendables. After graduating high school Shaun was asked to design a shirt for The Expendables which later became the No Time To Worry album cover. [3] This led to the desire to pursue a career in art where Shaun attending the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Career[edit]
Shaun first began working in the music industry designing album covers, rock posters, and merchandise for several reggae-rock bands. He later traveled as a tour manager and guitar technician until 2013. These experiences fueled much of the creativity that further launched Shaun's career into the art world. Impressed by Shaun's artwork Dan Sheehan, a co-owner/producer[4] of California Roots Music and Arts Festival approached him to join his team.[5] Now Shaun is the Art Director for the festival and creates the overall branding each year.[6]
Works[edit]
After creatingThe Expendables first album cover, No Time To Worry Shaun went on to design more of their albums some of which include Open Container, Gettin' Filthy,[7] Self-Titled, and Prove It.
Additionally, Shaun illustrated and art directed Slightly Stoopid's album Meanwhile...Back at The Lab[8]and continued designing t-shirts and tour posters for the band. Some other album cover art includes Ballyhoo!'s Pineapple Grenade, [9] and Detonate [10] Rebelution's Count Me In,[11] Bumpin Uglies' Keep It Together,[12] and Pour Habit's Got Your Back.[13]
In 2011 Shaun Logan painted a mural at Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park, California.[14] [15] This "zipper" mural depicts a blue hoodie unzipping to reveal a factory scene inspired by the social network and can be seen in Facebook's Building 10.[16][17]

Other art endeavors include product design for various clothing companies, breweries, and cannabis producers.[18] After forming a relationship with Pennywise, they recruited Shaun in 2017 to do artwork for a Lost Coast Brewery sessions IPA beer label collaboration.[19]
