Yvonne Ohene Djan, professionally known by her stage name 'SHE', is a Ghanaian actress, musician, backing vocalist and movie producer.[1][2][3][4][5][6] She has provided backing vocals for musicians including Daddy Lumba, Ofori Amponsah, Kwabena Kwabena, and Samini in the 1990's and 2000's.[7][6]

Music career[edit]

SHE began singing backup vocals in the 1990s. She has provided backing vocals for Ghanaian acts including Daddy Lumba, Ofori Amponsah, Nana Acheampong, Kojo Antwi, Dada KD, Kwabena Kwabena, Samini, Kofi B, Kofi Nti, Castro, Mzbel, Ohemaa Mercy, SP Kofi Sarpong, and Tagoe Sisters.[8][9][10][11]

SHE, in 2012 released her first single titled 'Dream Lover'. The song was written by Kwabena Kwabena and produced by Kaywa.[12][13]

Movie career[edit]

In 2012, 'SHE' served as the executive producer, screenwriter and starred in her first movie "Kweiba", which was directed by King Luu.[7] The movie stars Kobina Amissah-Sam, David Dontoh, Kwasi Kyei Darkwa (KKD), Emelia Brobbey, comedian and actor Clement Bonney.[14][3][15][16][17] The movie was premiered at the Accra International Conference Centre and was attended by top Ghanaian film maker Kwaw Ansah and other celebrities including musicians Obour, Amandzeba Nat Brew and Kwabena Kwabena.[16]
