Shebeshxt
Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, prominently known under the alias of Shebeshxt (or Malome Shebe) is a South African recording artist who became a social media sensation in early 2022 subsequent to the release of his debut single "Ke Di Shxt Malume" which became a sleeper hit; going viral on a video sharing platform TikTok.[1]
Following "Ke Di Shxt Malume", in 2022 the rapper released "Shebe Monateng" which surpassed 1.2 million views on YouTube.[2]
Chauke is currently incarcerated faces legal charges that may land him 7 years in prison. On 9 May 2022 the rapper appeared in Lebowakgomo Magistrate's Court in the Limpopo province of South Africa for multiple counts of assault, attempted murder and malicious damage to property.[3] The National Prosecuting Authority put out a statement on 6 May 2023 that the rapper was denied bail and they are dealing with all the charges simultaneously and the case has not yet been finalized as it was postponed to 14 June 2023.[4]
