Sheenogai is a 2021 Pakistani action thriller film based on a motorway rape case. It is the acting debut for Marina Syed, a Pakistani stunt biker. Sheenogai is a Pashto word for "the girl with the green eyes". The film is directed by Abu Aleeha.
Plot[edit]
Cast[edit]
- Marina Syed as Sheenogai
- Kunwar Mudasir
- Aisha Faraz
- Bilawal Baloch
- Ayaz Ali
Production[edit]
Marina Syed was chosen for the lead as the director was looking for a daring girl for the character of Sheenogai. Cinemato Production was conducting the auditions for the film and they have found Marina, the girl who is the trainer of many girls. But Marina's acting skill was not impressive so the director and the team took the risk to train her and introduce a new actress in the industry. The cast of Sheenogai includes Bilawal Hussain, Muddasir Shehzad, Ayaz Ali, and Aisha Faraz. The film has been shot in Karachi, Kund Malir, and other areas of Balochistan.
Release[edit]
Sheenogai is a joint venture of Cinemato Production, Zammy's Production, and Metro live. Sheenogai is in post production and set to release on 18 December[when?].
Box Office[edit]
Might very well be one of the lowest budget films ever made. With a minimal budget of 1.7 million Rupees, the film's rights have been sold for 3.6 million Rupees as per Abu Aleeha. Which means the film is already in profits irrespective of its box office numbers.
