Shefin Mayan (ഷെഫിൻ മായൻ) is an Indian sound designer, sound editor and mixing engineer.[2][3]
Early life[edit]
Shefin Mayan[4][5][6][7][8][9] is an Indian sound designer,[10] sound editor and mixing engineer based in Ernakulam,Kerala.He Born into a family in Elamdesam,near Alakode,about 12 km from Thodupuzha, Kerala, India. His Parents are Mayan Hameed and Haseena Mayan. His brother Ashik Mayan is an Editor in Malayalam film industry.
He did his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Government Polytechnic College, Muttom,during 2007–2010. In 2011, he got Sound Engineering Diploma from SAE Chennai.
Career[edit]
who has worked in over 10 plus feature films (extending to two languages including Malayalam, Tamil),[11][12][13][14][15] 100 more short films, documentaries, and more than 500 advertisements. He has also won the International Medimix short film festival 2017 for Best Sound designer for the short film Mangiyoranthi Velichathil[16][17][18][19][20][3][21] and Barath PJ Antony award 2018 for Best Sound mixing for the short film Nadakantham.[22][23][24][25][26][27] Virgin spring cinefest Singapore 2018 for Best Sound Designer for the short film Atharyam (The Opaque).
Shefin Mayan started an internship in Prasad Lab Chennai and Four frame Sound company,[28][29] he assist with Raja sir (M.R Rajakrishnan), then shift to Eternal studio ernakulam as Sound recordist and mixing enginner in Disney cartoons. To pursue his passion, he moved to Own studio in 2014 (Soundman Sound design studio).[30] He made his debut as a sound designer in Mollywood for the film Ottamuri Velicham, Dakini directed by Rahul Riji Nair.[10][31][32][33][34] his upcoming Movie's in 2020- Aaha(Malayalam) directed by Bibin Paul samual, cold(Malayalam) directed by Anoop, Kozhipporu (Malayalam) directed by Jibit jinoy.
Personal life[edit]
Shefin Mayan married Shalima on 30 September 2016. The couple were blessed with a boy Muhammed Imran Soofi on 28 July 2017.
