Shehnai Vadak Ustad Bismillah khan is a trust founded by Murli Manohar Srivastava in the memory of Shehnai Vadak Ustad Bismillah khan. It is dedicated to help and cooperate with the poor, helpless, Dalit, minority and backward. It came into existence on April 15, 2013.

To aware about our past ancestors who got recognition at world level and learn from their struggle and fly high in life. Founders

Initially, It was founded by Murli Manohar Srivastava on April 15, 2013. Srivastava is so inspired by Shehnai Vadak Ustad Bismillah khan that he worked 24 years on Ustad and wrote a book on him named Shehnai Vadak Ustad Bismillah khan. He also wrote a documentary Safar-e-Bismillah. He is curious enough to open a university in the memory of Ustad named Shehnai Vadak Ustad Bismillah Khan University at Dumraon, Buxar, Bihar, India.

History

The uncrowned emperor of the world, Shehnai Vadak Ustad Bismillah Khan used a new experiment by doing a classical play "Peephi"(Musical instrument) which was an instrument of rural environment. That experiment made Bismillah Khan the world popular king. The Shehnai maestro who has been awarded the four decorations of the country has been honored with Bharat Ratna, and has been honored with many more ornaments in the world.Murli Manohar Srivastava got an opportunity to see him in his childhood, in the year 1979, with his father, who invited and brought Ustad to "Baje Shehnai Hmar Angana" in the Bhojpuri film. At that time only he had seen Ustad, later he started visiting to Varanasi and met Ustad.

He started listening to Ustad, became aware of his struggles, Riyaz and many untoward aspects of Ustad attracted him towards Ustad .He wrote a book on Ustad named "Shehnai Vadak Ustad Bismillah Khan. "Prabhat Prakashan published it in 2009 after 10 years of writing. After that it was intended to do something else and Srivastava made" Safar-e-Bismillah “a documentary film. In the meantime some people suggested that when you are doing so much work on Ustad then why not you build an institution. Their words are good and Srivastava established "Shehnai Vadak Ustad Bismillah Khan Trust" on April 15, 2013. At that time he thought of establishing it. His work was started; his purpose was to work only on Ustad. During that time, it came to his mind that Ustad was an institution in itself, why not set up the foundation of an institution, and in 2013, on the name of Ustad, “Shehnai Vadak Bismillah Khan University" in Dumraon in Buxar district of Bihar was announced. For this, he knocked government for land allotment, but many years have passed, but till now nobody has thought it appropriate to look at it. Government has not allotted land yet. But Srivastava does not care about it; he is constantly working on it. Srivastava has full belief that One day his struggle will write success stories. As soon as the institution was established, the desire to cooperate with the poor, helpless, Dalit and minority and backward is accelerating day by day. Srivastava has never begged even a single coin from anyone even after so many years of building the institution. He is serving the people continuously. Even though politics is happening in the country on minority, backward and Dalit.

 Murli Manohar Srivastava said, I will make reach the most of the works done by you in every corner of the world. You will not only be called the player of Shehnai but also the biggest carrier of Bhojpuri, idol of Hindu-Muslim unity. Due to you Folk instruments stood in the classical form and sounded loud in the world. Now if you do not get immortality to your memory after these qualities, then it is a matter of considerable concern for the country and the province. There are many followers of Ustad Bismillah Khan in the country and, if need be, we are convinced to open Shehnai Vadak Ustad Bismillah Khan University with the help of them.

The objective of this institution is not to build a kingdom, but to fulfill its role as a clan of the whole world.
