Shelter (UK band)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Shelter are a UK-based electronic duo who launched themselves as a song-writing, performance and production team in 2010, consisting of Mark R Bebb (vocals, lyrics, song-writing & arrangement) and Rob Bradley (music, programming, performance, song-writing & arrangement). They had previously been UK regional finalists in Future Music Publishing's undiscovered originals song-writing competition in 1999.

Their signature 1980s influenced electronic sound has been likened to acts such as Erasure and Pet Shop Boys. In addition to their solo work, Shelter have also written and produced tracks for a number of high profile artists including Erasure frontman Andy Bell, singer Frankmusik, Celebrity Big Brother winner Alex Reid, Berlin group Alignment North, Parralox, and several others.

The band have released 4 studio albums, 3 live albums, 1 Singles compilation album, and 16 singles containing numerous remixes, many of which are featured on their 5 remixes compilation albums.

They own their record label, Ministry of Pop. Their physical sales of CD, vinyl and merchandising are handled through Lexer Music, and they distribute downloads and streaming through main worldwide platforms such as Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer.

In January 2015: Shelter wrote, performed on, produced and released ‘Connected’ featuring Neil Francis on vocals, who reached over 20 million YouTube hits and national TV and press coverage for the ‘feel-good’ Christmas spirit he generated when an entire platform full of passengers on the London Underground sang along to his rendition of Erasure’s 'A Little Respect'[10]

July 2015: Shelter wrote, performed on, produced and released ‘With U’, a collaboration featuring singer Frankmusik on vocals. The single included remixes by legendary Grammy Award-winning US DJ Producer Dave Audé, and reached number 9 in the UK Commercial Pop Club Chart.
