Sonoff is the primary manufacturing subsidiary for Smart Home Devices of ITEAD Intelligent Systems Co., Ltd., a Chinese tech company based in Shenzhen.
Sonoff brand name
The brand name Sonoff stands for "Smart On-Off": the name was born with the first smart devices produced by the company "Sonoff Basic Switch". The device is built with the ESP8266, a low-cost Wi-Fi microchip that can easily turn on/off remotely a connected light or device.

Sonoff Smart Switches
Sonoff Smart Switches are WiFi smart switches that allow users to remotely control the power of lights/electrical appliances with a Mobile App. Because all of these smart switches are a ESP8266 based device, this brand is very famous in the open-source community.
