Sherbaz Pathan is an Indian politician who is District President of Chandpur, Bijnor, a Member of the Municipal council Chandpur, Bijnor, and a Member of the Indian National Congress.[1][2][3]
Political career[edit]
In 2012, he contested the election of MLA from Chandpur but lost in that, after that he won the election of District President in 2015 and also won the election of chairman in 2023 in which he defeated Bhartiya Janta Party candidate and achieved a historic victory.[4]
Controversies[edit]
Congress District President Sherbaz Pathan was produced in the CJM court by the Chandpur police on Friday. Sherbaz Pathan's advocates termed the arrest as illegal and demanded removal of the section of murderous attack. He said that none of the injured had serious injuries. The case of murderous assault is not made out. Rejecting this argument, the CJM upheld other sections including aggravated assault. After which he was sent to jail in judicial custody.[5]
