Shiva Kandukuri (born 18 February 1995) is an Indian actor and Engineer who primarily works in Telugu cinema. He is primarily known for his work in Telugu movies Choosi Choodangaane (2020) for which he won SIIMA Award for Best Male Debut – Telugu and Gamanam (2021 film) (2021).[1]
Early Life[edit]
Shiva Kandukuri hails from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. His father Raj Kandukuri is a Film Producer and National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu recipient, for the Telugu film Pelli Choopulu.[2] [3] Shiva Kandukuri graduated in Renewable Energy Engineering and Extended Economics at Pennsylvania State University and worked in Philadelphia, United States, post which he quit to focus solely on his acting career. [4]
Career[edit]
Shiva Kandukuri made his debut with Choosi Choodangaane (2020) and won the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) Best Debutant Actor Telugu language , for the year 2020, for the film. [5] In 2021, Shiva starred in Gamanam (2021 film). Murali Krishna CH of The New Indian Express called Gamanam (2021 film) , 'Heartwarming take on everyday life' and opined Shiva's performance, 'Aptly cast in their respective role and delivered earnest performance'. [6] Sangeetha Devi of Dundoo of The Hindu called Gamanam (2021 film), 'Earnest and relevant stories' and opined Shiva Kandukuri, 'Made his presence felt with earnestness'.[7] Shiva will also be seen in Manu Charitra, Bhoothaddham Bhaskar Narayana and Meet Cute.
