Shiva Makinian (Persian: شیوا مکی نیان‎; born July 07, 1981 in Isfahan) Is an Iranian actress. From the age of 18 until the present, she has participated in many prestigious theatrical festivals around the world, earning her the highest number of international performances among Iranian actors. Acting in performances in English and French is one of her hallmarks.

Career[edit]

With acting in theatre, Shiva Makinian started her activity in Isfahan in 1999. Then she completed her academic studies in a bachelor's degree in theatre with an acting orientation at the Art and Architecture University of Tehran. Soon after, she received her master's degree in theatre with an acting orientation at Tarbiat Modarres University of Tehran.

Shiva Makinian presented her master's thesis with the title: "The life and opuses of an actor: Mahdi Hashemi (approaching the analysis of conventional methods in acting experiences)," which received an "A" grade from the referees.

In addition to receiving the Best Actress award at the 26th Fajr International Theatre Festival and being selected as an outstanding actress at the National Center of Iran Theatre Critics in 2013, she has been nominated for the Best Actress award in three consecutive years of Fajr International Theatre Festival and 2 consecutive years of Actor Celebration.

In addition to theatre, Shiva Makinian also works in Cinema. Her Filmography includes: "Hot Scent" [1][2] , "ESHGH_O_JONOON", "SHAHR ASHOOB", and "RAAZ_E_KOOCHEYE BONBAST".
