Shogun Films is an independent film production company based in London with a focus on action, crime and thriller films.
History
Launched in January 2020, Shogun Films was founded by prolific film producer Jonathan Sothcott and his wife, actress Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott. Its aim is to create commercially-driven genre films for the international marketplace. Its first film, Nemesis, was released in the UK by Bulldog Distribution in March 2021 to positive reviews. The company's next effort, all-star action movie Renegades, starring Danny Trejo and Lee Majors will be released in 2022.[1].
The Shogun Films board also includes filmmaker Adam Stephen Kelly and entrepreneurs Danny Bear and Andrew Green.
Shogun Films also has subsidiary labels Shogun Records[2]. and Shogun Books[3]
