Shopnaw (pronounced shopnow) is a service start-up founded in Accra, the capital city of Ghana in 2017. Shopnaw was press-launched in Accra in January 2020.[1][2][3]. It operates ecommerce and online delivery service that picks up, delivers products ordered via its mobile app and web platform to the door of customers. Shopnaw has 3 distinct mobile apps apiece on both Play Store and App Store; Shopnaw, Shopnaw Seller, and Shopnaw Delivery.[1][4] The company was founded by Benjamin Osei Asante[5][6] as a 3-sided online marketplace that hosts businesses such as Restaurants, Supermarket, Grocery, Pharmaceuticals, Electronics, Local Markets, Beauty, and Fashion[7][8]; all on one platform fulfilled with on-demand delivery service trackable in real-time.[9]

Shopnaw was founded by a Ghanaian descent; Benjamin Osei Asante who is currently serving as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Company. Shopnaw is registered as a product of Big Ben Express Limited, a business incorporated in Ghana[10] Shopnaw was launched as a 3-sided model that provides tailor-made technology platform and marketing opportunities to support sellers, buyers and delivery partners. [11]

Business Model[edit]

The Shopnaw platform serves as a digital outlet where users can access and order their product[12]. The selling and buying process is fulfilled by an on-demand delivery service to the doorsteps of consumers. Shopnaw provides advertising solutions to help businesses find, attract, and engage millions of its customers every step of the way. The 3 major stakeholders of Shopnaw include the Sellers, Buyers and Shoppers (delivery Associates)[11][13]
