Shoaib Halify a Moroccan author, novelist, critic and academic scholar was born in the city of Settat in 1964.[1] He studied in the Faculty of Arts in Casa Blanca and received a degree in arts in 1987.[2]

The Moroccan author, novelist, critic and academic scholar was born in the city of Settat in 1964.[1] He received elementary education in Ibn Tashfeen (Qashla) Elementary School, one year after finishing memorizing the Quran by the Jurist Sayed Ahmad. Later he went to Ibn Abad secondary school to finish prep and high school. After finishing high school he went to the faculty of arts in Casa Blanca and received the degree in arts in 1987. He moved to the faculty of arts in Rabat to carry on with post-graduation studies and in 1988 he received the degree of Deep Studies Diploma and Post-graduation studies diploma in 1990. He majored in fantastic novel poetic features under academic supervision of Professor Mohamed Barada and a scholar committee consisting of Professor Ahmed Alyabory, chairman and Professor Mohamed Addaghomy, member. In 1999[2] his PhD thesis discussion was held, and the thesis was under the title “A journey in Arabic Arts: identity, Writing mechanisms and the imaginary speech.” The PhD was under the academic supervision of Professor Abdullah Alawy Al-Mudghary and Professor Idris Balmaleeh, while the academic committee consisted of Professor Ahmed Alyabory, chairman, and Professor Saeed Yaqteen and Professor Abdul Raheem Mowden, members.[1][3]
