Nihad Ibrahim is a free theatrical, film, literary critic, vernacular poet, storyteller, translator, novelist, and screenwriter born in Cairo on January 1, 1971.[1] She obtained a BA from the German Language Department at Ain Shams University in 1992. Nihad has many articles and specialized critical studies in Egyptian and Arab newspapers and magazines. Her collection of short stories, The Count de Monte Shafiqa, won the best short story collection 2012/2013 at the Egyptian Writers Union Awards.
Nihad participated as a film viewing and selection committee member at the Cairo, Alexandria, and Ismailia International Film Festivals, along with translating and editing the catalogs for the Cairo, Alexandria, and Ismailia festivals and the International Children's Film Festival. Besides managing local and international symposiums at various festivals, the Supreme Council of Culture, and the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. She participated as a member of the Critics' Jury at the Ismailia International Festival for Documentary and Short Films as a representative of the Egyptian Film Critics Association in 2002. She represented Egypt in the International Critics Jury at the Locarno International Film Festival as a representative of the International Federation of Critics in 2003. She participated as a jury member in the Documentary and Short Film Competition and animation at the National Festival of Egyptian Cinema in 2013. she participated as a member of the National Festival of Egyptian Cinema jury, the twenty-first session of the Feature Film Competition, from October 18 to 26, 2017.[2]

- Postgraduate Diploma from the Higher Institute of Art Criticism from the Academy of Arts in 1996.
- Master of Literary Criticism in the Personality of Scheherazade in Contemporary Egyptian Literature from the Higher Institute of Art Criticism at the Academy of Arts in 2001.[3]
- Ph.D. in Literary Criticism in the Faust Myth between Marlowe, Goethe, Al-Hakim, Bakathir, and Fathi Radwan - a comparative analytical study from the Higher Institute of Art Criticism at the Academy of Arts in 2006.
