Shyambazar Kalibari [1] is a Kali temple located on Jessore Road near Shyambazar five point crossing. The temple is said to be over 300 years old. The idol of Goddess Kali, the divine mother, in the temple inspire the devotees of devotion, purity and perseverance for achieving higher goals of life. Arrangement for offering Puja to the Maa Kali is available in the temple. This[2] [3] place opens at 6:00 am in the morning and closes around 1:00 pm. Then opens again 4:00 pm and closes around 10:00 pm in the night.

Idol is made of clay and painted every year and temple celebrates many traditional festivals such as Durga puja, Saraswati puja etc. Puja rituals have remained unchanged and recitation are still organized. Devotees participate in many rituals and take blessings from maa kali. One of the vintage and awesome places to visit.
