Side Hustle (stylized as SIDE HUSTLE) is an American live-action buddy comedy family television sitcom created by Dave Malkoff for Nickelodeon. It premiered on November 7, 2020 and stars Annie LeBlanc, Jayden Bartels, Isaiah Crews, Mitchell Berg and Jaeden Bettencourt. The series was officially announced on February 24, 2020, and filming started in March 2020. The series is shot in front of a live studio audience and is filmed at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California.
Plot[edit]
Side Hustle follows best friends, smart and sarcastic Lex and confident and tough Presley, as they devise a plan to make money when fireworks accidentally destroy a boat belonging to the dad of their quirky friend and neighbor, Munchy. Forced to come up with creative ways to earn money to pay for the damages, the best friends enlist the help of Presley’s tech-savvy younger brother, Fisher, to create an app called “Kid-DING” to connect with people looking for help with small jobs. With Munchy’s bossy older brother Jaget making sure they keep up with the payments, the three friends must do any jobs that come their way–no matter how crazy they are.[1]

Production[edit]
On February 24, 2020, it was announced that a live-action comedy television series entitled Side Hustle is being in development. Filming began in March 2020, during the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The series is filmed at Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California and is shot in front of a live studio audience. It was also announced that Annie LeBlanc, Jayden Bartels, Isaiah Crews, Mitchell Berg and Jaeden Bettencourt are the cast of the series. It is created and executive produced by Dave Malkoff, who also worked in other Nickelodeon shows such as Henry Danger, Sam & Cat, and Victorious. Nickelodeon has ordered 13 half-hour episodes of Side Hustle. The first episode premiered on November 7, 2020 on Nickelodeon.[1]
