From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

SideeX is a free and open source record-playback automated web application testing software. In September 2017, SideeX has been adopted as a basis for developing the second generation of Selenium IDE. It is released under Apache 2.0 license.

History[edit]

SideeX was originally created by Shin-Jie Lee and his lab members at NCKU in 2015. The first version 0.6.0 was released in July 2016 as an extended version of Selenium IDE 2.9.1.1 with a number of expanded automation features. SideeX 2 (version 2.x) was released in September, 2017. It was developed based on WebExtensions API, which enables running on Chrome and Firefox. In the same month, SideeX 2 has been adopted as a basis for developing the second generation of Selenium IDE.[1][2][3][4]
