Sidhaartha Maadhyamika[1] is an Indian actor[2], playwright, theatre director and voice over artist. He predominantly writes and works in the Kannada language.
His work as a theatre-maker can be categorised as experimental and stylistic in form but urban and realistic in content. As a screen actor he has garnered much praise for his uncanny ability to disappear into the character he portrays and his physical transformations to suit each role.[3]

As a stage actor, Sidhaartha he has appeared in over a dozen plays since 2006; prominent among those being ‘Robinson & Crusoe’ written by Nino D’Introna and Giacomo Ravicchio, a Kannada translation of William Shakespeare's ‘TheTempest’ by Ramachandra Deva, Sam Kutty Pattomkary's production of Girish Karnad's 'Tughlaq', and an adaptation of Rabindranath Tagore's 'Hungry Stones' directed by Heisnam Tomba of Kalakshetra, Manipur.
Playwright & Translator[edit]
Sidhaartha wrote his first play, 'Namma Itihaasa' (Our History) in 2010. He has subsequently written two more full length plays, 'Ee Naavu' and 'Ee Taavu' in Kannada. He has adapted author S.Diwakar's[4] short story 'Itihaasa' into a full length stage play.
He has also translated two plays from English to Kannada, 'Fly Paper Trap'[5][6] by Swati Simha into 'GidaGiduga', [7]and 'Alipha' by Poile Sengupta[8] into 'Aksharamala'.
Director[edit]
He has directed several plays over the past ten years which have won several accolades state wide. Apart from directing th eplays that he has written, Sidhaartha adapted and directed VIvek Shanbagh's 'Bahumukhi', S.Diwakar's 'Itihaasa', George Buchner's 'Woyzeck' and Manjunayak Chellur's[9] 'Foo...'.
Film Work[edit]
Since 2010, Sidhaartha Maadhyamika has appeared in over twenty Kannada feature films[10].
In recent years, he was noticed for his work in 'Krishna Rukku', 'Shuddhi[11]', 'Kavaludaari' and 'Bhinna'
