Ross Gunn[1][edit]

Ross Patrick Gunn (born 1 January 1997) is a British professional racing driver, and Aston Martin Racing works driver in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Biography[edit]

Ross Gunn was born in High Wycombe. He was most recently educated at The Misbourne school. He currently resides in Banbury, United Kingdom.

Karting[edit]

Gunn began karting at six years of age and recording victories at club championship level up to the age of 11.

From 2008 to 2012, he predominantly raced in national championships. He won the British Championship and British Kart Grand Prix in 2011. In 2012, he again won the British Championship, and finished fourth at the season-ending world finals.

BRDC Formula 4[edit]

In April 2013, Gunn moved up to car racing in to the new BRDC Formula 4 championship with the Motionsport team, at the age of 16. He completed 75% of the season with the Banbury based team, winning at Oulton Park and Silverstone.

British GT[edit]

After taking a year away from the sport in 2014, Beechdean Motorsport signed Gunn in March 2015 for the British GT championship in the GT4 class. Gunn and his co driver, Jamie Chadwick, took two race victories and five podiums on route to the title. He was also part of the Silverstone 24 hour race-winning team.

2015 saw the launch of the Aston Martin Evolution Academy. Gunn was one of 10 candidates being monitored and supported by the British car manufacturer during the season, with the prize being a Junior factory contract. Gunn won and moved up to the GT3 class in 2016.

ELMS[edit]

In 2017 Gunn moved into the GTE class, competing in the European Le Mans Series with the Beechdean AMR team. He also competed at the 85th running of the 24 hours of Le Mans, finishing fourth in the GTE AM class.

FIA WEC[edit]

At the start of 2018, Gunn became a works Aston Martin Racing driver. For the 2019-20 FIA WEC season, Gunn was entered in the GTE AM class alongside Paul Dalla Lana and Darren Turner. To date he has recorded four podium finishes in the class.
