Simple.Savr (also known as SSavr) is a free online web application developed by Rishab Bhatt that allows users to share text and upload files to other users in their IP address. Simple.Savr was launched on November 8, 2015. As of February 17, 2019, it has reached over 55 million users, with over 60,000 active users per month.[1][2]
Simple.Savr works by saving the user's current IP address in database, and linking their uploaded files and text to that IP address. Hence, when the user returns to the website from any of their other devices, they can instantly see their data on the website. It offers a text box for users to type their text in and a form for users to upload their files[3]. It is coded in PHP (server side) and JavaScript (client side).
Simple.Savr also encrypts all information provided by the user using a secure encryption key that is randomly generated, which can be overwritten by the user[4]. It is supported by ads, which can be turned off from settings. Settings changed from one device will instantly take effect on all other devices.[5] Moreover, it allows users to link multiple IP addresses together, so file and text sharing can be done even when the IP addresses are different. All uploaded files are deleted automatically after 7 days.[6]
Simple.Savr's mission is to "help provide clean drinking water to every individual on earth." [7] Simple.Savr donates over 40% of it's revenue to charaties to help reach its mission. Simple.Savr does not accept any donations, but users are encouraged to donate directly to non profit organizations.
