Singular: Act II is the upcoming fourth studio album by American singer Sabrina Carpenter, set to be released in early 2019.[3] The album is considered the second half of a two-piece project, being supplemented by her third studio album Singular: Act I (2018). "Pushing 20" was released as the album's lead single on March 8, 2019.[4]
Promotion[edit]
In support of both Singular: Act I and Singular: Act II, Carpenter embarked on the Singular Tour in March 2019.[5]
Background[edit]
On October 22, 2018, Carpenter announced that her album Singular would be released in two acts with act I coming November 9, 2018 and act II "coming soon".[6] Further interviews for Singular: Act II, Carpenter revealed that the album would be released in early 2019[3]. On February 13, 2019, Carpenter revealed in an interview at the Grammy Museum that the album will come along with her tour. [7] On, March 2, 2019, Carpenter performed two new songs from the album "Pushing 20" and "Exhale" at the opening show of her tour in Orlando, Florida. [8] She also performed those tracks throughout the tour.
Singles[edit]
On March 6, 2019, Carpenter posted a short video on social media saying "3/07/19 9pm pst" indicating that she had an announcement to make.[9] She released the first single "Pushing 20", which she also performed on her Singular Tour shows, on March 8, 2019, at 12:00 am local time for every country.[10]
