Sir C. V. Raman Institute of Technology and Sciences (CVRT) (also known as SCVRITS, Tadipatri) is an engineering college in Tadipatri, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was established in 2009 and is managed by Sri Varasiddi Vinayaka Educational Society . The college is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) of Government of India, and is recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) of the state of Andhra Pradesh.[3] It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses.[4][5]

History[edit]

The college was established in 2009 by Sri Varasiddi Vinayaka Educational Society, which is a "Public Charitable Trust" established under the Societies Act 1950 in 2008. The Society started with Sir C. V. Raman Educational Institutions in 2008, under which Sir C. V. Raman Institute of Technology & Sciences was established in 2009. It later established its management college Sir C. V. Raman Institute of Management in 2014.

Sir C. V. Raman Institute of Technology & Sciences initially offered institution leading to Jawaharlal Nehry Technological University, Anantapur's Bachelor of Technology degree (4- year duration) in 5 disciplines: Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The first batch of students graduated in the year 2013.

Campus and location[edit]

There are labs, workshops and computer centers within all the blocks of the college. There is a library and information center, sports and indoor and outdoor games.

Transport facilities are available to students with 10 college buses provided. Even students can reach college by RTC buses. Not only for students, transport facility is also provided to staff members.

Academics[edit]

The college admits undergraduate students through the state-wide EAMCET exam conducted every year. It offers Bachelor of Technology (BTech) courses in multiple disciplines and Post graduation courses. Besides it provides the facility for attending various workshops on multi topics which avail students a great opportunity to progress in every opportunity they utilize. The Master of Technology (MTech) course is offered to Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI Engineering, Power Electronics, DECS.
