Sitamarhi High School is a Secondary and senior Secondary High School, which is also known as M.P. High School. It is situated in Dumra Block of Sitamarhi District Bihar, India. The history of this School is more than 100 years old. This School was built during the British era and many big personalities have studied at Sitamarhi High School. It is a Government School and the head of all Government Schools in Sitamarhi District.
History
The history of Sitamarhi High School is quite interesting. During the British era, this School was built in Muzaffarpur District, but on the 11th of December 1972, when Sitamarhi District was formed, since this School was in Sitamarhi, it became the Zila School of Sitamarhi. In the beginning, this School was called Zila School, Sitamarhi.
Students of the Year
This title is given to those students who excel in Sports and other activities for the School. Sports and Extracurricular Activities have always been organized in Sitamarhi High School, Dumra. This title was started by the principal Braj Mohan Mandal in 2015.
The first title went to Adarsh Kumar in 2015 for participating in a Speech Competition and winning that Speech Competition.
Also, Vishal Kumar in 2015 participated in another Speech Competition and won for Sitamarhi High School.
The second title went to Prince Anmol, Suman Jha, Shambhu Kumar, Ashish Ranjan and Nikku Kumar in 2016 for participating in the National Children Science Congress and for winning that competition. These boys represented Sitamarhi High School at the State Level. Suman Jha was leading that team. The third title went to Prince Anmol, Suman Jha, Shambhu Kumar, Nikku Kumar, Ashish Ranjan, Suyash Kumar in 2017 for participating in the National Children Science Congress. Shambhu Kumar and Suman Jha were leading the team.
Suyash Kumar individually participated in a Program Science for Society in Bihar and won second prize for Sitamarhi High School. Suyash's project was in the interest of society. His project was to recycle the dirty water coming out of the factory and use it again. Suyash Kumar also participated in a Play whose purpose was to make people aware that we should keep our surroundings clean and Suyash Kumar played the role of Mukhiya Ji. That play was written by Krishna Kumar (Physics faculty).
