Jeremiah Skiba (born April 27, 1994), better known by his stage name Skeeba, is an American recording artist, singer, songwriter, and rapper.[1]
Early life[edit]
Skeeba was born on April 27, 1994, to Sheila and Rob Skiba, in Fort Worth, Texas, and was raised in Oak Cliff, Dallas.[2] When he was 15, Skeeba began listening to hip hop artists such as Eminem and hip hop groups such as Beastie Boys which encouraged his mother and grandfather to him a microphone to start his career.[2] When he was 15, Skeeba began listening to hip hop artists such as Eminem and hip hop groups such as Beastie Boys which encouraged his mother and grandfather to bring him a microphone to start his career.[2] Skeeba studied music marketing at a local community college where he met the founder of record Label, Layin’ It Down Records who collaborated with Skeeba later in releasing his songs.[3]
Career[edit]
Skeeba has performed all over the United States, but his biggest sold out shows were at SXSW, House of Blues Dallas, Curtain Club, and did a small tour around the US In 2017.[4] During 2018, he has released several songs with an independent record label named Layin’ It Down Records.[3] In 2019, Skeeba collaborated with his grandfather created, Certified Nation Records, an independent record label where Skeeba continued to create singles, released over ten singles and is currently signed to this label.[5][6] In 2020, Skeeba released his debut album, Skeeba Drifting Away.
