Slackjaw is a groove metal band formed in Greenville, South Carolina[1]. Formed by rhythm guitarist, bassist and vocalist Dallas Young, also known online as Soup, lead guitarist, drummer, and background vocalist Brady Riggenbach, and bassist Austin Philips. Austin left after the recording of the first album, recorded at Asaph records[2], to continue with his education, and claims that there was no hard feelings with the members from the band.[3] After various different drummer changes, Jacob Rigdon ended up joining after the recording of their second album, also recorded at Asaph records, and played with Slackjaw on their first live show. Dallas then took over bass duties[4], making the band a trio that could now perform live.
