Sleeping in United States Congress offices

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

In 2018, over 25 members of the Congressional Black Caucus of the United States penned a letter to the House Ethics Committee asking for an investigation into the "legality and propriety" of members of the United States Congress using their offices like apartments.[1]

Claiming a lack of salary increase and a hike in the cost of living in Washington, D.C., members of Congress have slept in their offices on cots in closets and on futons hidden behind couches.[2]

Bennie Thompson and Jackie Speier are seeking to prohibit such activity.[3]
