Smart FM is a Indonesian radio station in Jakarta that broadcasts on the frequency 95.9 FM which was founded on May 20, 1996.[2][3]
History
Smart FM was first broadcast in Manado on May 20, 1996.[4] Smart FM is increasingly active in improving the quality of its programs and has a vision that can be seen from its programs that always make it different from other broadcast radio. This is what makes Smart FM have an existence and even to expand its broadcasts to big cities throughout Indonesia. According to Smith, a good program has a quality that makes it different from other programs. A motto adopted by Smart FM which also brings a difference from other broadcast radio because it explains an identity for Smart FM, namely as a news radio that reads "They Call it News, Knowledge, Business Information, Wisdom and Inspiration, but we call it SMART!". Due to the rapid development and as the capital city of the country which is the center of all information in the country, the city of Jakarta then became the center of Smart FM radio broadcasting and as the center of all activities related to operations even though in principle the region has full authority in presenting program material.
Smart FM officially operated in Jakarta on April 27, 1997 Smart FM opened its office as the center of all Smart FM activities with a wave of 100.9 FM (Modulation Frequency) Smart FM, then in 2001, precisely in April, this Radio also had an organizational structure to support the company's performance so that it could run as well as possible. Smart FM Bandung runs its organization with 3 leaders who each have different duties and functions but remain one unit, namely Head of Business, Head of Office, Head of Product. In this increasingly tight competition situation, many new media have emerged, both electronic media, print media, and social media, so Smart FM Surabaya's marketing management does not rely on selling advertisements alone to find company income, it must look for other alternatives, namely using other strategies by selling Event of Air in the form of seminars and becoming an Event organizer for Respondents who want to hold events such as company birthdays, grand openings of new companies or others. Even by holding an Event Of Air, Radio Smart Fm Jakarta was raised and became strong, widely known by the public, especially the respondents.[5]
