Privacy[edit]
In November 2017, the Princeton’s Center for Information Technology Policy published a study about third-party scripts that record visitor data[3]. Seven softwares were analyzed: Yandex, FullStory, Hotjar, UserReplay, Clicktale, SessionCam, and Smartlook.
Smartlook was reported to have not protected sensitive user inputs enough and to be running on HTTP pages. Since the publication of the study, Smartlook has addressed both of these problems[4].
