Sniper Twins

Sniper Twins is a writing/directing duo based out of New York City consisting of members Barry Adam Flanagan and Dax Armand Martinez-Vargas. The team creates original videos under the name Sniper Twins. They also write, produce, and perform original music. Sniper Twins have earned recognition for their collaborations with brands on the music videos that they write, direct, and star in.[1][2][3] Their music video Computer Friends, with partner Seagate, received 500,000 views on YouTube within the first 3 days and they had modest success with their follow up video Chocolate Shoppe, with partner Hershey's.[4][5][6] The two are represented for commercials by Smuggler.[7] The duo have directed commercials for Lexus.[8] McDonald's, Burger King, Carling, Newcastle Brown Ale, Robinsons, BSkyB, Yellow Pages, U.S. Cellular, Peugeot, Scentsicles,[9] Washington State Health,[10] BBVA.

History

Barry Adam Flanagan and Dax Armand Martinez-Vargas attended film school at University of Texas where they created the sketch comedy show Nothing Liquid with friends Jeff Bevill and Brandon Wilde which screened at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.[11] After film school, Sniper Twins relocated to New York City and worked as directors/creatives for 5+ years in MTV's on-air promos department.[12] The directors received several awards for their work at MTV. Barry Flanagan directed the RJ Berger "Moment of Awe" Campaign with co-director Seyi Thomas.[13] The campaign received a Promax Award and a Creativity Award.[citation needed] While at MTV, they began making music videos under the name Sniper Twins. They were signed to Independent Films UK and sister company BRW USA for commercials before signing exclusively to Smuggler.
