The So Be Steadfast Operations Room (Arabic: غرفة عمليات فاثبتوا, romanized: Ghurfat Eamaliat Fathbutuu), is a coalition of Salafist jihadist insurgent groups in northwestern Syria involved in the Syrian Civil War.[6]
Composition[edit]
The coalition consists of the former members of the Rouse the Believers Operations Room, such as the groups Guardians of Religion Organization, Ansar al-Din Front, and Ansar al-Islam, along with new coalition member groups such as Tansiqiyat al-Jihad and Liwa al-Muqatileen al-Ansar.
History[edit]
On June 23 2020, one of the leaders of the member group Ansar al-Islam, Abu Salah al-Uzbeki was arrested by Tahrir al-Sham policemen for dissident activity, sparking clashes with the latter group in Idlib.[7]
On June 26 2020, a ceasefire was finally signed between both sides, ending the clashes in Idlib, where the coalition pledged to close all its headquarters and vow not to set up any more checkpoints.[8]
