The Social Insurance Institution (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) was a social security institution connected to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security in Turkey. It had been transferred into the Social Security Institution with Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Law, no. 5510 passed on 16 May 2006.[1]
Before the transfer into Social Security Institution, it was the biggest social security institution in Turkey. It provided insurance and healthcare to around %50 of the population.
