Sofia Tereschenko (Ukrainian Софія Терещенко; born 22 October 1984) is a Greek-Ukrainian fashion model, dancer, politician and entrepreneur. She is the founder of the international social project "Let's Talk".[2] She is a model and lives in Athens, Greece.[3]

Family[edit]

Tereshchenko is the only daughter of Ukrainian former model and now fashion designer, Valentina Tereshchenko, and granddaughter of Raisa Tereshchenko and Nikolai Tereshchenko. The Tereshchenko family owned textile mills, sugar factories and Kherson Oblast salt mine, under the company name "Tereshchenko Brothers".[citation needed]

Her grandfather, Nikolai Ivanovich Tereshchenko, participated in the Great Patriotic War and served as the secret service agent (scout) at the reconnaissance squadron 897 Mountain Rifle of Sevastopol Order of Suvorov Regiment 242 Mountain Rifle Taman Red Banner Division, 4th Ukrainian Front.[4] Order of the Patriotic War II degree,[5][6]

Early life and education[edit]

Sofia Tereshchenko was born in Yevpatoria, Crimea. She completed German educational complex Gymnasium of Ilya Selvinsky, she was also spending most of her time in Athens, Greece, where permanently live her parents.

She's graduating from the International Relations Department of Panteion University.[citation needed]

Career[edit]

Tereshchenko has interned at several Ukrainian governmental institutions such as Administration of Defense Mobilization, Interaction with Law Enforcement and Regulatory Agencies and Civil Protection in 2012; Headquarters of Investment Policy and Foreign Economic Relations of the City Council at the department of Strategic Planning and Investment Policy in 2008; and Executive Committee of the City Council at the department of Internal Policy and Media Relations in 2007.[7][better source needed]

In 2007 Tereshchenko interned for Ukrainian governmental apparat. In 2012 she was a reporting analyst and journalist at Kontra Channel in Athens, Greece.[8] In 2017 she has become a contributor and journalist at newspaper Russian Athens in Athes, Greece.[9]

Tereshchenko is a fashion and runway model since 2006.[citation needed]

From 2014, Tereshchenkois Business and Entrepreneurship trainee. She is certified in Entrepreneurship by Hewlett-Packard.[citation needed]

Tereshchenko is running her own international project "Let's Talk", which impacts the environmental and legal subjects. She's writing a Declaration and working under the bill with her team. She has been certified in Conservation by United For Wildlife.[10][11] She has also attended a "Development, environmental ethics and animal protection" from European Center for Environmental Research and Training of Panteion University[12] & Hellenic Animal Welfare and Environmental Federation[13] and been awarded a certificate. She's also engaged in work with WWF.[14][better source needed]

Tereshchenko is the descendant of the Ukrainian noble and Russian aristocratic family the Tereshchenko Dynasty. The family holds the status of princes, Earls, Marquis, Dukes, Counts and Barons [15]. And were entitled to this style by Alexander II of Russia in 1872.

Her grandmother and mother are descended from Russian aristocracy and Ukrainian nobility. And her father is a distant ancestor of Bagrationi dynasty. Among her grandmother's and mother's distant ancestors are Duke of Leuchtenberg, House of Romanov, House of Beauharnais, Rothschild family and Mouravieff-Apostols [17]
