Sohini Sastri is an Indian astrologer.
In 2019, National American University, USA granted honorary doctorate (D.Litt.) to Sohini Sastri in Astrology'.[1] Sastri felicitated with Champions of Change (award) by Honorable Vice-President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.[2]
She is honored by 'Pride of the Nation' award 2019, by the Hon'ble Defence Minister of India, Rajnath Singh.[3]
Early life & career[edit]
Sastri was born to the family of great Swami Dharmamegharanya Aranya and Swami Hariharananda Aranya in Kolkata. She has completed M.A. in arts from Kolkata University and Ph.D. in Political Science from Victoria Global University, USA. She holds a diploma in Rabina Sangeet and well trained in classical music. She is the member of many reputed International & national astrological organizations such as "Astrological Association of Great Britain", "American Federation of Astrologers", "Federation of Australian Astrologer" and "Asian Congress of astrologers" to name a few.[4]
Sohini is also a regular columnist of different national based journals and a popular face in different astrological TV Shows.[5] She wrote her first book on "Career Astrology" launched it in 2019 and presented its first copy to Preity Zinta.[6][7]
Sohini is the member of Astrological Association of Great Britain, American Federation of Astrologers, Federation of Australian Astrologer, Asian Congress of astrologers and astrological association of Great Britain.
